VetCare Animal Hospital is Hiring a Part-Time Registered Veterinary Technician Near Denver, CO

VetCare Animal Hospital is searching for an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician to join our small animal exotics practice.

At VetCare, we provide a highly personal approach to veterinary care and take time with each pet we see. You’ll join a 4-doctor hospital with an incredibly talented support staff that includes multiple CVTs, a friendly receptionist, and our clinic cat, Louie. We provide a “boutique” level of patient and client care and every day is exciting because we see surgical cases for a variety of species, including dogs and cats, pocket pets, and reptiles.

This is an excellent opportunity for Credentialed Technicians with current experience, excellent critical thinking skills, a passion for veterinary medicine, and a commitment to lifelong learning. While we are looking to hire a part-time technician for Friday's and Saturday's.

Background and experience:

· Skilled Certified Verterinary Technician with more than 3 years of hands-on experience

· Comfortable around dogs, cats, and exotic animals

· Dependable, enthusiastic, hardworking, honest, and team orientated individual

· Strong work ethic and ability to jump in and help where needed

· Ability to provide the gold standard of medicine and client communication

· Hard worker with a desire to learn and ability to grow

· Long-term commitment to the veterinary field

· Familiarity (or experience with) ezyVet is a plus

Responsibilities:

· Client communication and education

· Surgical and dental assistance

· Anesthesia induction and monitoring

· Vaccine and medication administration

· Blood draws and IVC placement

· Pharmacy duties and lab work

· General outpatient procedures

· Assisting with training

· Assisting where needed (kennels, cleaning, etc.)

· Experience with exotics is a plus!

Part-time benefits:

VetCare Animal Hospital was established in 1995 and provides a “boutique” level of patient and client care. We love building relationships and ensuring furry and scaly family members receive nothing but the finest care. Our hospital partners with Petco and other businesses in the Denver area, so we often see patients from their facilities throughout the week. At the end of 2022 we relocated to our brand-new facility at 560 S. Holly Street and were voted, once again, as Nextdoor’s Neighborhood Favorite!
