HSE Program Specialist

The HSE Program Specialist position is responsible for the maintenance, effectiveness, and continual improvement of HSE programs and programs and processes.

Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with leaders to develop, prioritize, and maintain HSE strategy and tactical plans.

* Generate and communicate periodic status reports.

* Participate in project teams, completing tasks collaboratively with regional and global manufacturing, construction, and service functions.

* Assist in the development of project plans and maintain project documentation and reports.

* Identify opportunities for improvements to enhance HSE performance and reduce environmental impacts.

* Evaluate HSE performance metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

* Implement initiatives and programs to enhance HSE performance and sustainability.

* Conduct benchmarking activities and share lessons learned across projects and sites.

* Assist in maintaining our HSE governance framework documentation.

* Collaborate with the HSE team to generate or update HSE governance framework documentation.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor Degree and 5 years of work experience in energy industry, or environmental, health, and safety discipline or combined education and experience equivalent.

* Knowledge of US and Canada HSE regulatory framework Knowledge of international HSE management system standards (ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and ISO 45001)

* Ability to work efficiently in a remote environment with limited supervision.

* Ability to make recommendations and give direction to cross function team members

* Ability to interact with senior leadership, other departments, and with vendors and customers.

* Ability to safely climb and work at heights preferred.

Competencies:

* Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet, PowerBI and data management applications

* Ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels

* Ability to work with people, to lead by influence and by motivating and empowering

* Advanced communication skills, verbal and written

* Good technical writing skills

* Good project planning and project management skills

* Good organizational skills

* Ability to travel up to 15% within US and Canada
