Vertiv is Hiring a Solutions Engineer Technical Sales, White Space Near Denver, CO

POSITION SUMMARY

The Solutions Engineer role is a crucial member of the Solutions Team during the early engagement phases of customer programs with large industry-leading customers and systems integrators selling into White Space. It enables systems integrators to recommend Vertiv rack-based solutions with our monitoring and IT management platforms. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Provides advanced technical sales support for IT solutions including integrated rack solutions, Smart solutions, and AI starter kits deployed in existing and new data centers.
  • Provides sales staff with technical assistance and support for technical documentation and customer-facing presentations and engagements, including leading customer communications.
  • Produces technical proposals, design documentation, and project proposals to support the design process and delivery to customers. 
  • Leads and participates in customer presentations and project delivery including oversight and contribution to costing, schedule, site logistics, and customer pricing. 
  • Acts as technical liaison and advocate between customers and systems integrations for Offering Management and Tech Support, collecting market requirements and voice of the customer. 
  • Designs solution-based projects that include internal design while incorporating third-party components to resolve end-customer solutions and products. Incorporates IT, mechanical, electrical, structural, and other engineering competencies to an end-customer deployment to support white space.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8 years of work experience in data center monitoring and physical infrastructure for IT solutions.
  • Working knowledge of IT industry end-applications to successfully deploy the support infrastructure required.
  • Solid communication skills, both written and oral, to work with customers and across multiple engineering and manufacturing teams to bring architectures and concepts to product deployment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • BS in Engineering

  • Office environment 
  • Frequent travel to customer locations

TRAVEL TIME REQUIRED 

  • 40-70% depending on customer demand.
