Vertiv is Hiring a Continuous Improvement Specialist Near Westerville, OH

POSITION SUMMARY

  • The Continuous Improvement Specialist primary responsibility is the ongoing improvement of the sales experience in Oracle CPQ quoting tool used by Vertiv Services business. This includes the necessary processes to keep the data current & accurate as well as easy to update over time in upstream and downstream systems. It will include supporting the sales teams directly for issues that they find using the quoting tool. It will also include working closely with IT to manage issue tickets created and enhancements requested by the business owners. Secondary responsibility will be to work closely with sales to understand their sales process and help shape the CRM tool to facilitate that process

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • SME for sales quoting system. Troubleshoot issues, find immediate work arounds, and then do root cause analysis with IT to determine long term fix so it does not happen again.
  • Manage the incident tickets created with IT to address issues when the quoting system is not working as designed.
  • Work with services business owners in Sales, Offering Management, Order Management, and Sales Support to understand business requirements needed for enhancements to our quoting and CRM tools.
  • Prioritize ITs work being done on enhancements that are gathered from services business owners.
  • Act as the services SME for the Triage Team who receives requests from sales regarding issues with quotes and orders.
  • Work with inside sales and outside sales teams to support their selling process in the CRM tool. Look for best practices to use in the tool to track daily activities, opportunities and leads. 
  • Train and support the Service Sales teams as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-3 years’ experience in Sales or Sales Support 
  • Experience using or supporting CRM and quoting tools with good technical acumen
  • Proficient PC skills in Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access)
  • Act as project manager with excellent planning, organization, and presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to provide progress dashboards that are organized, understandable, and accurate 
  • Conscientious, accurate and attention to detail oriented
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to meet established deadlines

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with using Oracle CPQ as a quoting tool.
  • Experience participating in Continuous Improvement Projects.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Analytics or related field required.
