CNC Lathe Machinist / Programmer

Vertical Flow Industries is seeking a CNC Lathe Machinist Operator / Programmer

Five years of experience with CNC lathe operation and programming preferred.

Must be able to set up tooling.

Brief machining description – consists of Class 30 cast iron pump castings, OD / ID 660 bronze, threading of carbon steel shafts and pipe.

Threading experience preferred.

Fanuc Series O-T Controls and G code programming experience

Some overtime required.

Current Vertical Flow Industries CNC Machinery includes:

(2) Puma Lathes – 12L-C and 12L-B, Haas SL-10 and TL-25 Lathes

Develop and write CNC programs for various machining operations

- Interpret and analyze blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings

- Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts

- Collaborate with engineers and designers to optimize manufacturing processes

- Perform quality control checks using coordinate measuring machines (CMM)

- Troubleshoot and debug CNC programs to ensure accuracy and efficiency

- Continuously improve machining processes through lean manufacturing principles

```Requirements```

- Strong knowledge of CAM programming software – Master CAM preferred.

- Ability to read and interpret machine prints, and technical drawings

- Experience with machining operations and equipment

- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles

This position requires a high level of attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. The successful candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming and machining processes.
