Job Description

VersaDesk is seeking a talented and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team as a Business Analyst. In this role, you will play a crucial role in supporting our finance department by streamlining billing processes, building and maintaining financial reports, and conducting thorough account audits. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting principles, demonstrate exceptional multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and excellent time management skills. Duties and Responsibilities

1. Streamline Billing and Invoicing Processes:

• Analyze existing billing and invoicing procedures to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements in the billing and invoicing workflow.
• Develop and maintain automated systems to streamline the billing cycle.

1. Financial Reporting:

• Create and maintain comprehensive financial reports to provide insights into key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial trends.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather data requirements and ensure that reports meet the needs of various departments. 
• Utilize data visualization tools to present financial information in a clear and understandable manner.

1. Account Auditing:

• Conduct regular audits of financial accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with the company policies and industry regulations.
• Investigate discrepancies, anomalies, or irregularities in financial records and take corrective actions as needed.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to minimize the risk of errors and fraud.

1. Data Analysis and Interpretation:

• Analyze large datasets to extract meaningful insights and trends that contribute to strategic decision-making.
• Provide ad-hoc analysis and reports as requested by management to support business initiatives.

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role, preferably within an accounting or finance setting.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, Looker Studio, and SAP.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of GAAP, regulations, and compliance standards.
• Ability to communicate complex data findings in a clear and concise manner.
