Job Summary

Work Shift

1 - First ShiftAre you the type of person who is passionate about applications and how they can solve business problems? In this role, you work with team members and customers to effectively deploy and configure application technologies that deliver solutions. We're looking for team members who build strong relationships and serve as an active thought partner and application visionary to shape technology solutions across the organization.

What You'll Do

1. Partner with stakeholders, engineering, IT technology teams, and vendors to provide technology solutions that solve business problems.

2. Configure and maintain engineering development tools such as CAD and PLM systems.

3. Troubleshoot application issues and assist with resolving those issues.

4. Promote user adoption through training, consultation, and support of existing functionality.

5. Understand business processes and workflows to optimize the user experience with technology solutions.

6. Determine how to integrate requested enhancements through configuration. Determine if customization requests meet the purpose of the software or can be solved by other actions.

7. Participate in system testing and evaluation.

8. Build and leverage metrics, incident reports, availability reporting and trends to decrease overall system downtime and improve systems operations. Produce reports to monitor enhancements, upgrades, and patches to the environment.

What We're Looking For

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Information Technology with a minimum one year of related experience; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Understands business process concepts, includes process mapping, process design and performance measurement.

- Ability to quickly troubleshoot problems that may arise in applications.

- Basic knowledge of one or more of the following core business processes: finance, engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, warehousing, and service.

- High level understanding of basic system engineering, object-oriented design, data governance, security guidelines and architecture standards.

- Preferred understanding of the various software development lifecycles (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).

- Knowledge of hardware, software, and programming trends.

- Preferred knowledge and understanding of enterprise, client and web-based application software and the data produced by the software.

Travel

- Occasional travel is expected of this position.

Work Location

HYBRID: Some of a team member's day-to-day work may be best done at a location other than a Vermeer campus. Discuss specific arrangements with your manager.
