Vermeer-All Roads Equipment is Hiring a Sales Vermeer Forestry & Recycling Near Annapolis Junction, MD

Vermeer All Roads in Annapolis Junction is searching for an experienced Recycling & Forestry Equipment Sales Representative to cover Maryland, Delaware, Northern VA and the panhandle of West Virginia. This role will be responsible for promoting, and selling Vermeer products and solutions into the Land Clearing and Organic Recycling Industries. They will recognize customer needs, deliver appropriate solutions, and resolve any issues for the customers. To be successful, this role requires follow-up on all leads, develop a customer network, coordinate product demonstrations, and maintain customer information. This is a full time, benefits eligible opportunity with fantastic income potential (base plus commission). Company vehicle provided...must be 21 years of age or older and insurable by our carrier.

  • Generate leads through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
  • Identify and qualify potential clients by telephone and premise visits.
  • Demonstrate equipment and other solutions based on customer needs.
  • Handle all aspects of a sales transaction including pricing, negotiation, and closing.
  • Communicate with coworkers internally to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Must have a strong mechanical aptitude
  • Resolve customer concerns and inquiries.
  • Be familiar with the latest industry trends and technical advancements and successfully apply them in daily activities.
  • Promote entire equipment product line as well as technology solutions and service contracts.
  • Work with management to develop plans to increase sales.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required, College degree preferred
  • At least 3 years of proven sales experience in a related field
  • Valid Driver’s License, CDL a plus
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently

Travel

Frequent daily travel to customer locations within the territory is required, approximately 40% overnight
