Strategic Communications Specialist - Senior 
Work Location: Crystal City, VA | Hybrid

Summary:
This position supports the Program Management Office (PMO) by providing strategic communications within to include: 
· Provide day to day strategic communication (public affairs) support to PM Integrated Personnel and Pay System – Army (IPPS-A) 
· Handles sensitive or confidential information
· Coordinates Strategic Communications and Holiday messages 
· Plans, coordinates, and executes Town Halls and conferences
· Prepares and coordinates briefings
· Writes publications and articles 
· Maintains the PM IPPS-A briefing library
· Prepares speeches
· Prepares talking points for IPPS-A leadership
· Prepares a variety of documents, such as: correspondence, forms, reports, statistical tables, spreadsheets using advanced skills and knowledge of word processing software
· Advises writers in matters of style, syntax, and usage to improve the general quality and effectiveness of communications to include AR 25-50 
Minimum Qualifications:
  • · 10 years of experience, and a MA/MS degree or equivalent years of experience
  • · Proven track record of working on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently
  • · Must have a Secret Clearance
 Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
· General knowledge of DoD acquisition 
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 products
· Knowledge of the Army’s AR 25-50
· Strong coordination, organization, teaming, and communication skills
· Excellent organizational, scheduling, and prioritization skills
· Works well individually or in a group setting.
· Ability to listen and understand task descriptions and requests
· Ability to explain problem resolutions
· Ability to quickly respond to time-critical queries from leadership
· Ability to work independently without direct supervision or guidance
