Job Objective :
Primary task of the material handler is to receive incoming SFG and greige, tag it with appropriate labels, put the material in the storage racks using industrial lift equipment such as fork trucks and stackers.
It is also the responsibility of the material handler to record the transactions on the warehouse management system and to pick and stage material for further processing.
Essential Job Functions :
- Receive, verify, label, and put away material.
- Pick and stage material.
- Enter production wip moves into the computer.
- Recording production data as required.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by performing cycle counts and location audits.
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment
- Full time presence required.
- Ability and willingness to be cross trained in any other functions as required or requested.
- Excellent attendance required.
- Ability to work overtime as required or requested including extended shifts and weekends.
- Additional tasks as assigned.
Job Qualifications :
- High school education or GED
- Previous manufacturing experience.
- Forklift certification or certification obtained within 30 days.
- Ability to read and interpret production travelers.
- Verify material to be processed.
- Mechanical Aptitude.
- Utilize computers with Word and Excel software.
