Job Title: Warehouse Lead
Job Overview: As a warehouse associate at Vego, you will play a crucial role as a valued team member in our forward-thinking organization. This part-time position, with a commitment of 20-25 hours per week, offers significant opportunities for personal and professional growth. The working hours are scheduled between 10 am and 4 pm on weekdays.
Warehouse Leads are critical members of our team, ensuring our warehouse procedures are carried out smoothly, efficiently, and safely. If you have attention to detail and organization, this challenging position is right for you!
Vego’s mission: Vego Naturals is a plant-based ingredients supplier to health and environmentally conscious manufacturers. Our goal is to make healthier and cleaner plant-based ingredient options available and affordable to every household.
Vego's Warehouse has the following responsibilities and duties:
· Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
· Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
· Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
· Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
· Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment
· Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
· Follows all safety rules and applicable laws
· Identify room for improvement, report thoughts and ideas to management, and implement
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Familiarity with warehousing practices, methods, inventory software, databases, and systems a plus
· Ability to develop and document SOP’s
· Good organizational and time management skills
· Ability to lift heavy objects up to 60 lbs.
· Experience with forklift or willing to become certified
· CDL is not required but would be a plus
· Experience handling packaged food ingredients is not required but would be a plus
· Willing to undergo a background check
Compensation: $24 - $27 per hour based on experience, competitive benefits package, and a very positive work environment.
Job Type: Part-time
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
