The Role

The Senior Business Systems Analyst is responsible for business systems utilized by our Sales Operations & Field Sales team. You will work with intensity and partner closely with business teams to identify, groom, and test requirements, create scalable business processes, manage project plans, and drive operational improvements in our production systems.

You will own projects from inception to completion. As projects are completed, you will continue to drive improvements when issues are discovered and proactively work with developers and system administrators to ensure swift resolution and continuous improvement of our Salesforce platform.

What You’ll Do

• Build the foundation for project efforts by capturing the business context – problem definition, current state definition, objectives, business case, desired future state definition, etc.
• Facilitate discovery sessions and business process workshops
• Be able to diagram and elaborate current & future state application workflows in detail
• Develop detailed requirements (business, user, process, system requirements – functional and non-functional) and establish traceability to the business vision
• Manage the requirements throughout the project lifecycle by establishing agreements and serving as a liaison between business users and the project team
• Adapt and pivot as necessary based on business needs
• Document all changes to applications per internal controls
• Develop and maintain project artifacts: business requirements, scope, gap analysis, user stories and journeys, process maps, flow diagrams, business rules, business data models, security needs, test plans, and project plans
• Support release documentation and technical deployment plans
• Act as the project owner for the implementation of the solution
• Lead and manage the execution of full development lifecycle activities
• Identify stakeholders and ensure strong communication channels
• Create roadmaps, manage project backlogs, and set delivery cadence
• Design, develop, test, and implement system enhancements
• Define and drive schedules
• Risk identification and mitigation
• Conduct end-user training
• Develop strong partnerships with business stakeholders, development partners, and peers on multi-functional teams across Veeva
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify system and process improvements

• Demonstrated 5 years’ experience and expertise with Salesforce applications with a focus on Sales Cloud (Certifications are a plus)
• Understanding of application lifecycle management and SDLC
• Understanding of Sales and Revenue business functions and the objectives of the people in those roles
• Ability to comprehend and clearly articulate the “why” behind business objectives to technical peers and cross-team partners
• Comfortable working with personnel at all levels of an organization
• Experience coordinating development efforts across a hybrid team of both internal and external developers residing in distributed locations
• Skilled at taking complex, technical topics and explaining them in simple terms
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience
• 7 years of application requirements gathering and design
