Veethree Electronics & Marine, LLC is Hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician Near Bradenton, FL

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.

Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.

Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.

Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.

Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.

Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.

Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.

Installs, programs, or repairs automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers.

Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate

machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.

Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.

Fabricates and repairs counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.

Demonstrates attention to detail.

Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

  • Experience in tool design and modification
  • Ability to define problems and resolve them quickly.
  • Experience with:
    • Surface-mount components and assemblies
    • Bench testing and troubleshooting
    • CAN based products
    • Problem-solving tools such as 8D, 5-Whys, CEDAC and DMAIC
  • Strong knowledge in writing product specifications.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Self-starter who can work well with people at all levels, inside and outside the plant.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks.
  • Extensive knowledge of product development management and process design improvements.
  • Understand, implement and maintain principles of lean manufacturing.
  • Computer literate, including knowledge of database software, Internet software, manufacturing software, spreadsheet software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Education and/or Experience: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Follows workplace operating and environmental health and safety guidelines and procedures.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Other duties as may be requested.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers, sit, stand, bend, reach, talk, hear and walk. Employee is frequently required to climb and balance, and move or lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Duties are performed in a factory setting with exposure to moving parts, dust, odors, fumes and moderate factory noise.
