Vector Technical Inc. has partnered with a Mentor, OH leading manufacturer of automation systems. They are looking for the right person to join their team as a Secondary Machine and Weld Operator !

1st Shift

This is a full time position (40 hours) with OT eligible.

Job Summary :

This is an opportunity to train and learn while also working production.

Run production as needed, and start learning the following skills along the way :

• Operate press brake & shear
• Fabricate pins for belts
• Setups - Read and interpret blueprints, templates and layouts to determine machining operation to be performed.
• Adjustments - Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges and micrometers
• Troubleshooting / Debugging programs
• Moves between production assignments that utilize multiple skills endorsements as needed to support production requirements.

Secondary Machine Apprentice Requirements :

• CNC experience helpful but not necessary
• Welding skills would be an asset
• Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments and hand tools.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds (unassisted)
• Regularly required to stand for prolonged periods.
