The Peri-Surgical Unit (PSU) consists of 26 patient care rooms that are able to provide preoperative, phase-II postoperative, and 23-hour observational care for patient populations ranging from infant to geriatric and serves more than 15 different surgical specialties and services including cardiac, gynecology, plastic surgery, genitourinary, thoracic, transplant, neurosurgery, bariatric surgery, acute care surgery, vascular, oral maxillofacial, oncology, and orthopedics. PSU is open Monday AM - Saturday 5 pm. Closed Saturday 5 pm - Monday AM. The Program Support Assistant performs a variety of administrative/clerical support functions for the Department. Previous experience with Microsoft Office applications & e-mail/calendaring. Experience PREFERRED: Three (3) years of previous secretarial/administrative work experience in an office setting. Previous experience in a health care setting. Education/training REQUIRED: High School Diploma or equivalent Education/training PREFERRED: Post High School coursework in Business, Accounting or closely related field.
