Vasion is looking for a Staff or Principal Frontend Engineer to join our growing team in St. George, UT and that exemplifies our core values. You will be helping to design and develop our next-generation, SaaS, digital transformation platform. We are a small and agile engineering team, with many opportunities to do a variety of work and to grow alongside great team members. Our current front end tech stack: 

• Vue

• Javascript and Typescript
• MicroFrontend architecture using Single Spa
• We follow a BFF Pattern, with each Frontend app having a dedicated API gateway
• Some React apps
• Legacy PHP and JQuery

What you will need to succeed in this job:

• Expertise in foundational frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JS/TS)
• Deep experience with multiple JS frameworks (Vue, React, Angular, etc…)
• Ability to understand and communicate the tradeoffs between different tech choices or patterns
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills to help build the next generation of Frontend engineers at Vasion
• 5 years of software engineering experience with at least three of those years being focused on frontend work
• Foresight to prevent problems before they become emergencies 
• Experience building shared interfaces or patterns that other engineers and teams will follow

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with product owners, architects, engineers, designers, and QA
• Contribute to the creation of functional and technical specifications
• Responsible for functional and performance requirements, technical design, task estimation, implementation, automated testing, debugging, and deployment
• Contribute to the ongoing effort to improve software design and coding practices
• Participate as a productive member of an agile team of engineers
• Promote established standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the software development life cycle.
• Mentor more junior colleagues
• Provide technical training presentations for colleagues and teams
