Vascor is expanding and seeking a Yard Leader. To become part of our dynamic team, please examine the list of responsibilities and qualifications for the role.

Position Summary

The Yard Leader is responsible for managing specific yard activities. Primary goals are to ensure that the requirements of the Yard Management group as well as our customer requirements are met. The Yard Leader reports to the Operations Manager and / or Group Leader and has direct responsibility to lead their location.

Position Responsibilities

• Acquire knowledge of, comprehend, and adhere to Yard Management Processes. 
• Familiarize with the inspection process (inbound/post-campaign) and educate the team on the standardized inspection procedures.
• Learn the operation of equipment (scanners, computers, etc.) and provide training to the team.
• Utilize and understand the Vascor Knowledge Base.
• Complete the required paperwork daily.
• Grasp, apply, and instruct the team on the Quality Management System.
• Acknowledge, implement, and ensure compliance with HR and Safety Policies affecting the location.
• Oversee a team of 12 employees in a high-energy environment.
• Ensure the precise arrival of inbound vehicles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.

• Computer training helpful, but not necessary.

• Verbal and written communications skills.
• Intermediate computer skills.

• Experience in production field.
• Experience with leadership.

• The ability to lead and motivate others.
