VASCOR is hiring a vehicle inspector. To join our growing team please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications.
- Continuously deliver accurate, professional inspection services in challenging environments.
- Ensure thorough vehicle inspection by completing accurate assessment of the vehicle in the form on computer generated report.
- Mentor and supply guidance to all team members.
- Ensure vehicles meet acceptable standards by understanding, enforcing, and facilitating the specific programs, rules and guidelines as established by corporate customers.
Qualifications
Qualification for Vehicle Inspector
- Mechanical knowledge about vehicles would be an asset.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic computer skills using Windows based Word and Excel
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating both automatic and standard transmissions preferred.
- Complete inspection of arriving vehicles for damage and ensure vehicles inspected meet the program.
Physical Demands
This position requires the following physical demands:
- Lifting to 25 lbs.1-3 hrs. Throughout the day
- Standing 6-8 hours/day
- Walking, 6-8 hrs./day
- Reach above shoulder level 1-3 hrs./day.
- Bend, Stoop, Squat, and or twist-Repeatedly throughout day.
Environmental
- May be exposed to excessive noise depending on job location and operations in progress.
- Will be working around moving machinery and equipment daily.
- May be exposed to marked changes in temperature and /or humidity.
- May be exposed to dust, fumes, gases, radiation, chemical depending on the work location,
- Potentially walks on uneven ground.
- May be required to drive motorized equipment such as golf carts depending on the work location.
- May be required to operate a shuttle van in Releasing Yards
