Group Leader Responsibilities
- Managing, coordinating, supervising employees
- Providing clear written and verbal instructions to group members and promptly addressing any questions or concerns
- Clearly outlining goals and ensuring employees understand what is expected of them.
- Educating and training employees as well as support staff
- Ensuring health and safety regulations are always obeyed.
- Analyzing group performance and making recommendations for improvement
- Building and dispatching loads for transportation carriers
- Creating and filing damage claims
- Inspection and arrival of inbound vehicles
Qualifications
Education/ Experience
- A four-year degree or a minimum of four years of management experience is required.
- Must have successful experience as a Team Leader or possess equivalent qualifications from previous employment.
- Experience with meeting valid external customer requirement, supervisory/managerial capabilities, process management and PC skill.
- Valid drivers license required
Training
- Demonstrated “expert “Level usage of MS office products including Excel, Access and Power Point
- Understanding and experience with Total Quality management
- Experience with meeting valid external customer requirement
Training
- Demonstrated “expert “Level usage of MS office products including Excel, Access and Power Point
- Understanding and experience with Total Quality management

Physical Demands
This position requires the following physical demands:
- Lifting to 25 lbs.1-3 hrs. Throughout the day
- Standing 6-8 hours/day
- Walking, 6-8 hrs./day
- Reach above shoulder level 1-3 hrs./day.
- Bend, Stoop, Squat, and or twist-Repeatedly throughout day.
Environmental
- May be exposed to excessive noise depending on job location and operations in progress.
- Will be working around moving machinery and equipment daily.
- May be exposed to marked changes in temperature and /or humidity.
- May be exposed to dust, fumes, gases, radiation, chemical depending on the work location,
- Potentially walks on uneven ground.
- May be required to drive motorized equipment such as golf carts depending on the work location.
- May be required to operate a shuttle van in Releasing Yards
