JOB DESCRIPTION –Shipping Clerk

Area: Shipping

Reports to: Shipping Manager 

1. Goal of this Position

• To ensure proper handling, packing, labeling and shipping of finished goods. 
• To ensure that finished goods are properly stored according to proper ESD requirements.
• To ensure fast and accurate shipping that meets customer specifications. 
• Work within the parameters of the QM System to help Variosystems achieve general and company-specific quality efforts and growth goals.

1. Tasks and Responsibilities

• Warehouse and Shipping Duties
  1. Packaging and labeling of material according to customer guidelines and specifications in Aegis.
  2. Packaging and labeling of materials for storage into the finished goods warehouse.
  3. Transfer of packing slips and any shipping documents to Accounting.
  4. Accurately perform and maintain any and all SAP transactions required.
  5. Pick up and delivery of product to and from vendor/customer as needed.
  6. Ensure the quality and quantity of all product is maintained at all times.
  7. Cycle count product as assigned.
  8. Make ready all UPS/Fed Ex paperwork and product for pick up.
  9. Schedule LTL freight. 
  10. Ensure that all equipment is safely operated and immediately report any repairs needed to your manager.
  11. Other duties as assigned.
  12. Maintain a clean, organized and professional work space.
  13. Practice safe work habits and avoid accidents.
  14. Follow company policies.
  15. Know and follow employee handbook, quality policy, work instructions and procedures relevant to your job.
• Maintain material traceability as required.
• Scan serial number to Aegis as required.
• Unpack boards as required by planning/production.
• Fill out FAI paperwork as needed.

1. Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Computer skills (at least basic)
• Detail oriented
• Basic math skills
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written
• Electronic experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent level of experience
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time
• Will be required to lift over 40 lbs on a daily basis
