Three doctor small animal practice in the East End is seeking a PART TIME receptionist for 4-5 afternoons per week. Available hours are Mon – Fri 2-6PM with the potential for additional hours based on schedule changes. We are closed on weekends and major holidays.
The ideal candidate would be a cheerful, outgoing and positive person who has a background in animal knowledge. They should be compassionate, highly motivated and detail oriented with excellent people skills. They can multitask in a busy, fast paced environment, remain productive during slower times as well as be organized and possess good written and oral communication skills. They are a team player – willing and able to help out in the back when needed and enjoy working with our clients and their pets. Experience with animals is a plus!
Job duties include but are not limited to greeting clients in a friendly and professional manner making both them and their pets feel welcome, completing and updating forms as needed, answering a multi-line phone system in a prompt and friendly manner, scheduling appointments, filing and keeping accurate medical records, client education, promotion of hospital products and services, assisting clients as needed, checking clients in and out, end of day bookkeeping, follow up phone calls, welcome and sympathy cards and keeping the office clean and tidy.
