What the position entails?

Cybersecurity Compliance

  • Administer NIST 800-171 compliance program, ensuring organizational compliance towards implemented technical and policy-based controls are maintained.
  • Oversee workforce compliance with the company’s NIST 800-171 policies and procedures, including maintenance and routine updates of a System Security Plan (SSP) and Plan of Actions and Milestones (POAM).
  • Administer internal training to the workforce, including Insider Threat awareness and general compliance requirements by system users of NIST 800-171.
  • Perform routine internal audit and risk assessments as required by NIST 800-171, ensuring compliance against internal and external requirements.
  • Oversee change management evaluation and related documentation, as it pertains to change management for cybersecurity related controls.
  • Provide guidance for cybersecurity solutions based on national security organizations and frameworks, as it pertains to NIST 800-171 and DoDs CUI program.
  • Collaborate with internal and external IT teams, ensuring existing and emerging information systems and cybersecurity requirements are implemented.
  • Assist company in obtaining and maintaining CMMC Level 2 accreditation, including leading the company during external accreditation audits.

Information System (IS) Security

  • Support the company’s compliance with SECRET level Facility Security Clearance, ensuring organizational compliance to IS Security related management, operational, and technical controls are achieved.
  • Support the development and administer the company’s IS Security Program, in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP).
  • Support the development, implementation, and achievement of compliance with the company’s IS Security policies and procedures, including a Security System Plan (SSP).
  • Administer internal training to the workforce, including briefing users on IS security risks associated with their role.
  • Conduct annual testing and inspections of implemented security controls and policies, ensuring effectiveness to desired level of protection. As necessary, implement any corrective actions necessary.

What will you need to be successful?

  • Will hold a minimum qualification of a recognized bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, information technology, or related field.
  • Will have a minimum of 5-10 years post-graduation work experience.
  • Experience with management of security frameworks, namely NIST 800-171, highly preferred.
  • Experience with a prior company holding SECRET level Facility Security Clearance, highly preferred.
  • Experience conducting internal compliance audits, as well as participating in external audits, preferred.
  • Experienced in report writing and policy development, preferred.
  • Demonstrated problem resolution and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to adapt to change, work under pressure, and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Fluent in written and verbal English with excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Have a good working knowledge of primary computer software programs necessary to complete position objectives (i.e., MS Office products).
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Eligible to obtain security clearance.
