Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Collection Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial concepts, accounting software, and customer service to effectively manage collections.
Duties:
- Contact individuals with overdue payments
- Negotiate payment plans and terms
- Update account status records
- Utilize accounting software for accurate documentation
- Handle inbound and outbound calls professionally
- Provide exceptional customer service during interactions
- Understand debits and credits for credit union accounting
-The ability to file WID's, to file proof of claims for bankruptcies, to handle incoming garnishments, liens, levies.
-The ability to complete garnishments.
-The ability to handle all aspects of repossessions for vehicles.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in financial concepts and terminology
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of telemarketing techniques for collections
