Vantage Medical Associates is Hiring a Medical Assistant Near Brentwood, NY

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and supporting the medical staff. If you have a passion for helping others and possess the necessary medical knowledge and skills, we encourage you to apply.

BOTH Weekday only and Weekend only position available

Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist with patient positioning
- Provide patient education on medications, procedures, and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Handle medical administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and coding

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or certification is a plus
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic physiology
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to provide excellent patient service
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in medical administrative support tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records
- Basic life support (BLS) certification
- 3 years experience as Medical Assistant
