Responsibilities:

- Evaluate loan applications and determine the eligibility of applicants

- Collect and analyze financial information to assess the creditworthiness of borrowers

- Guide borrowers through the loan application process and provide them with relevant information and assistance

- Review loan agreements to ensure they comply with applicable regulations and policies

- Collaborate with underwriters, appraisers, and other professionals to facilitate the loan approval process

- Maintain knowledge of current lending practices, regulations, and guidelines

Experience:

- Previous experience in loan processing or mortgage servicing is preferred

- Familiarity with financial services and basic math skills

- Knowledge of banking procedures and regulations, including Fair Housing regulations

- Strong sales and customer service skills

- Understanding of TILA (Truth in Lending Act) and other relevant contract laws

As a Loan Officer Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping individuals secure financing for their homes or other financial needs. You will be responsible for evaluating loan applications, assessing creditworthiness, and guiding borrowers through the application process. Your expertise in financial services, banking procedures, and regulations will be essential in ensuring compliance and providing excellent customer service.
