Job Description
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide Information Technology (IT) Consulting Project Management Services to the Client for the analysis, preparation, delivery, acceptance, and execution of project planning documents for the Client.
- Provide assistance to Client staff and contribute to the budget process which includes but is not limited to supporting the development and management of Budget Change of Budget Change Proposals (BCPs) and Financial Analysis Worksheets (FAWS) throughout the Project Approval Lifecycle (PAL) Stage Gate Process.
- Provide input and assist in the development and maintenance of required Project Management Plans that document the processes and procedures for how Client projects are to be managed.
- Provide guidance and work products for general project management activities in support of day-to-day activities of the Client project team; Execution of approved project management plans; Coordinating activities with the Client activities with the Client Director or designee to ensure formal project management processes are in place and are being followed; and utilize best practices and industry standards to provide project management services.
- Provide knowledge transfer on the various project management plans to the Client.
- Report to the Client Project Director or designee on project issues, risks, and overall project health, including status of the project schedule, cost, scope, and quality; Assist in the development of required project status reports; and provide project presentations as needed.
- Client may specifically authorize off-site work as required; however, all work must be performed within the continental United States.
- Provide experienced Consultant(s) with skills and knowledge appropriate to carry out the services.
- Ensure all required Client documentation and onboarding requirements are completed.
- Conform to Client policies for electronic devices, including, but not limited to, Remote Access Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and Computer Device Security (provided as Confidentiality, and Information Security Provisions). When on the Client Network, such devices will be audited/analyzed to ensure conformity. Relevant Client policies will be made available to the IT Senior PM.
- Support Client with advice and assistance as requested.
- Client Director, or designee, will provide direction in planning, monitoring, and controlling the activities and tasks to be carried out as needed.
- Monitor the performance of the Consultant(s) and adjust staffing levels appropriately to ensure completion of tasks.
- Comply with all applicable Client policies and procedures.
- Fully understand and comply with each Client location security requirements and dress code.
- Effectively communicate in the English language in both written and oral.
- Track the project with a tool, if Client acquires a portfolio management tool to the extent required.
- For any project assigned, the IT Senior PM shall develop the necessary work products.
- Interact and work in collaboration with other Contractors assigned to the project.
- When visiting a Clients project site, Contractor’s staff shall pass a background check to be eligible for an identification (ID) badge. The ID badge will allow to act as an independent service provider. The IT Sr PM shall submit to the background check within five (5) business days upon execution of the contract.
- IT Sr PM, as required, shall participate in scheduled and ad hoc meetings with the Client to discuss activities and findings of the project.
- IT Sr PM required to complete three (3) mandatory Client trainings: Information Privacy and Security, Workplace Violence Prevention and Workplace Sexual Harassment Prevention.
- IT Sr PM shall participate or adhere to any of Client safety measures or programs as may be required by Client if services are provided. The responsibility includes attending and all related training or orientation to such measures or programs, including but not limited to, tools and equipment protocol, dress code policy, use of video, camera or phone, workplace violence provision, tobacco products, and any programs as may be required by Client.
- Provide deliverables in an electronic format and deposited in Client SharePoint central repository.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent is required
- Minimum of 9 years of experience as a Project Manager and an additional 3 years of experience as a Senior Project Manager supervising staff is required
- Advanced knowledge and application of master planning, A/E solicitation, project development, design-phase management, construction estimating, cost, project controls/scheduling, documentation, engineering/construction principles, contracts and delivery methods are required
- Thorough understanding of contracts, documents, drawings, and specifications and applied experience in the areas of project accounting, cost, administrative, and personnel interaction in professional settings are required
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products, and experience with project-related systems such as Prolog and Primavera are required
- Proficiency with various document control systems, as well as new construction and modernization is preferred
- Registration as an Architect or Professional Engineer is preferred
- Certified Construction Manager preferred
Offered rate of compensation will be based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including education, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. The Salary range for this position is $140,000.00-$165,000.00.
