VanderHouwen is Hiring a Senior Accounting Analyst Near Portland, OR
Our Portland client is looking for a collaborative Senior Accounting Analyst to hit the ground running with their Portland team on a contract basis. This is a business-critical position leading general accounting, analysis, and reporting functions.
This is a hybrid role requiring qualified applicants to commute weekly to offices in Portland, Oregon.
Senior Accounting Analyst Responsibilities
- Support month end close and review of the GL (journal entries and reconciliations).
- Prepare internal reporting and regulatory filings.
- Calculate accounting transactions including overhead and project-related costs.
- Perform financial analysis, budgeting, and forecast updates.
- Assist with audits and internal controls according to SOX requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
- 5 years of related experience.
- Public accounting background preferred.
- Proficiency with Excel and large ERP systems; SAP highly preferred.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Process-oriented with the ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities.
