Job Summary:
The outbound supervisor is responsible for the efficient operation of the of the fulfillment and delivery process, including proper manpower utilization, effective use of standard operating procedures, training, and motivating crew members in a safe and productive manner.
Responsibilities:
The Outbound Supervisor provides innovative and effective leadership and cultivates a functional working relationship with all levels of personnel throughout the organization.
Enhance leadership by developing associates who are in a leader position.
Supervise daily processes on the dock, review, coach, and develop the outbound associates.
Monitoring adherence to policy and safety requirements, interprets company policies for employees, holds daily pre-shift meetings.
Spot check orders for accuracy and quality, double-checking orders for quality and accuracy.
Ensuring the warehouse is clean and in proper working order, drive efficiencies in warehouse operations, best practices, safety, and housekeeping.
Assist with managing labor hours within budget, prepares work schedules.
Effectively communicate with all support areas such as; Buying, Allocations, Quality Assurance, IT, Human Resources, Transportation, and various corporate office support areas.
Analyze and report data relative to the department to constantly improve quality and efficiency.
Identify process improvement and make recommendations to maintain a high level of customer service.
Monitory daily, weekly, and monthly outbound goals to ensure effective staffing and manpower utilization.
Inspect material handling equipment for safe operations and coordinates required repairs with management.
Any other duties assigned by upper management.
