This position works closely with other key staff for the facilitation of all aspects of long-term care planning, case management, and Medicaid planning.
The scope of this role is primarily focused around supporting clients through the complicated Medicaid application process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities* Facilitating a client’s plan for and submitting an individual’s Medicaid application for long-term care assistance.
Assess the applicant’s household and financial situation to identify the best path to eligibility. Oversee client requests and ensure that the client’s needs and questions are responded to in a timely manner.
Communicate directly with Medicaid agencies and caseworkers. Conduct state and county-specific research related to Medicaid application laws, requirements and procedures.
Attend appointments with the attorneys and interact with clients and referral sources serving as witness and / or notary during signing appointments.
Work to make client satisfaction a top priority, finding quick resolution to client complaints and concerns. Perform general operational tasks including but not limited to answering the phone and forwarding messages, copying, scanning, mailings and postage, assisting drop-in clients, filing paperwork, handling voice mail messages, etc.
all according to Firm policies and procedures. Maintain confidentiality of all client and personnel information in accordance with Van Dyck Law.
Alerting the owner to potential threats to the success of the firm. Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent degree is required.
Experience and knowledge of Medicaid eligibility and long-term care benefits preferred. Ability to prioritize and manage several milestones and projects efficiently.
Experience with understanding financial statements, financial assets, and bank statements. Professional written and verbal skills are essential when communicating with clients.
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Should be resourceful and be a proactive problem solver.
