Job Summary
The Part-Time Administrative Assistant provides support and assistance to the department.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Prepares comprehensive reports, conducts special research projects, and coordinates activities and events campus-wide
* Responds on matters related to department services, which may include general inquiries or customer complaints from students, employees and the community
* Interprets and evaluates problems, collects data and/or information, establishes facts, and draws valid conclusions on campus issues and complaints
* Participates on campus-wide planning as assigned
* Ensures accuracy of information provided
* Represents the department on College campus-wide committees and task forces on campus events & activities, as directed
* Supervises part-time personnel, as needed
* Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
* Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of office experience
* All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
* Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
* Possess excellent organizational and communication skills (both oral and written)
* Possess computer skills with proficiency in Excel, Word, Access, and Power Point
* Ability to respond effectively to the needs of the campus and College community
* Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evening and weekend assignments
* Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
Additional Requirements
The final candidate is to successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.
