Join our team as a Full-Time Charge Capture Analyst in our Patient Financial Services Department!

As the Charge Capture Analyst, you will

GENERAL OBJECTIVES:

1. Performs daily Patient Financial Services Operations processing regarding auditing of medical records in conjunction with patient charges.
2. Ensures patient and staff inquiries into charges accuracy are responded to promptly.
3. Communicates regularly with clinical and financial staff regarding chart audit activities. 

Ensures charges for all services performed are present in the CDM for optimal billing and reimbursement and documentation supports all charges

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Data Entry:

1. Daily keys and post all Charges by 3:30 pm per policy.

Reports:

1.  Reviews and resolves all charges on the Rejected Charge Report.
2.  Reviews and resolves all late charges captured on the late charge report.
3.  Reviews and resolves charges issues in pre-admitted accounts.
4.  Reviews and resolves room charge issues on Outpatient accounts.
5.  Orders re-bills as appropriate. 

 Audit:

1. Formats, reviews and resolves all charges on the Rejected Charge Report.
2. Reviews and resolves all late charges captured on the late charge report.
3. Reviews and resolves charge issues on Pre-Admitted/Unbilled accounts.
4. Reviews and resolves room charge issues on Outpatient accounts.
5. Reviews and combines accounts as appropriate to eliminate duplicate billing per the 72-hour rule.
6. Formats and distributes daily Late Charge/Revenue Excel report by Department to Directors.

Chargemaster:

1. Maintains log of all changes made to the Chargemaster.
2. Coordinates audits of the Chargemaster with Revenue generating departments.

Education:

1. Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-services, meetings and workshops.

SALARY RANGE

• ‎$22.96 to $33.77/hour 
• Entry salary dependent upon education, skill set, and experience.
