Valley View Health Center is one of the fastest growing community health centers in SW Washington. We are currently seeking a full-time or part-time, independently licensed mental health clinician who has a passion for, and experience with, working with the homeless. This position will include working in a daytime resource center for homeless populations in Valley View’s service area but will be a combination of working as a Behavioral Health Provider (BHP) and as a Homeless Outreach Specialist. At the daytime resource center this person will work as a core member of an integrated care team that involves the patient and the patient’s primary care provider and case managers from the homeless services organizations. The BHP, as a patient engagement specialist, will provide a combination of activities including outreach, coordination of referrals to clinically indicated services (e.g., social services, substance abuse treatment, etc.) and therapy. As an outreach specialist, this person will focus on developing and maintaining relationships with community partners in three counties.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree and professional license in Washington State as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. Please do NOT apply if you are an Associate.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years post independent licensure
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
This position requires ability and comfort in working with electronic scheduling, navigating and charting in EHR and is best suited for individuals who can manage working in multiple electronic systems including platforms for telehealth.
LOCATION: This position will be based out of Olympia but will encompass work in our entire service area which includes Thurston, Lewis and Pacific counties.
HOURS/SCHEDULE: 20-40 hours a week, flexible, but usually matches the clinic hours.
SALARY RANGE: $96,762 base compensation (at 1.0 FTE) with an experience stipend of $1,000 per year of work after professional training was completed, up to a maximum of $15,000 (1.0 FTE).
