Valley Linen provides laundry service with pick up and delivery for various local businesses including restaurants, hotels, offices and retail establishments. Our products include sheets, towels, napkins, table linen, uniforms, floor mats, and mops. We are a local, family owned business established in 2005.
We are looking for a Route Service Representative (RSR) to provide excellent onsite service to our customers. The primary job duties include loading a delivery truck with products, driving to customer locations, unloading clean products, and retrieving used products to be unloaded at our facility for laundering. This job is fast paced and requires a great attitude to handle the challenges of customer needs, driving and maneuvering a delivery truck, and our ever changing weather.
This position will provide assistance and support to our current RSRs by learning each of our different routes. This RSR will ride with other RSRs to help when needed, as well as drive routes on their own to fill in for vacations, illnesses, etc.
The right person for this job will be reliable, work well independently, and have great customer service skills. They will anticipate customer needs and offer solutions, which requires willingness to sell additional goods or services. Attention to detail and a strong desire to get things right the first time are essential.
Applicants must be at least 22 years of age to be covered by our vehicle insurance. A clean driving report is required in order to be considered for the position and must be printed for an interview. Scheduled hours will be 30-40 per week depending on business demand. Our drivers work four days per week with three day weekends. This position may require a fifth workday when filling in for other RSRs. Starting hourly pay is $17 during an approximate two month training period and then will move to $18 per hour with the opportunity to earn up to $20 per hour with performance based bonuses each pay period. Commissions are also available for selling additional products or services.
Physical requirements: frequent standing, bending, twisting, pushing, and lifting up to 100 lbs. Ability to work in all types of weather.
