Valley Healthcare System is Hiring a Hourly Registered Dietician Near Columbus, GA

Description:

Valley Healthcare provides comprehensive primary care, selected specialties and referral services for the Chattahoochee valley regardless of circumstances. We take pride in being patient-centered, team-based care, and we are not able to do so without you!

Our company is growing rapidly and we are currently in search of providers to help our growing families! We are looking for an experienced Registered Dietician who is passionate about caring for patients and treating their nutritional needs. You will educate, counsel, and design nutrition programs to improve or maintain the health of patients.

Education:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with the focus in dietetics, human nutrition, food and nutrition, or food management

Salary:

$24.33 - Commensurate with experience

Hours of operation:

Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. -5:00 p.m.

Location:

Columbus, GA; Fortson, GA; Talbotton, GA

Job Summary:

A Dietitian, or Registered Dietitian, creates nutrition plans to improve the health and physical conditions of patients. Their main duties include analyzing patients’ health status, goals and dietary restrictions, tracking clients’ dietary intake and progress and educating patients on how to maintain a balanced diet.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Registered Dietitian credentials and state licensure in Georgia;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong leadership skills;
  • The ability to work well with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff; and/or
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working with seniors to make every day a better day for our residents
  • Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree

Security (HIPAA): Every employee is required to protect their computer log-on and password. You must secure your work area prior to leaving it unattended for an extended period of time. You are required to log-off of your computer and secure your work area prior to leaving at the end of the day. If you have a responsibility for closing or locking files, securing equipment, or locking the building and you do not comply with these requirements, you will be subject to reprimand and/or termination based upon the infraction. We are required by law to protect patient privacy, identifiable patient information, and all properties containing such information.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit/stand for an extended period of time

Ability to lift 10-15 pounds
