What You Will Do:
Communications Technician - Advanced assists supervisor with heat ticket data entry for multiple communications software products, assists the supervisor with updating, reviewing, and creating training materials, works with VHS staff and physician offices for training on Web on Call and the Directory on an as needed basis, assists with quality assurance of call recordings for Code and other calls, and assists with training Communication Technician - Intermediate. The Communication Technician - Advanced is responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment and communicating in support of Valley Health values.
What You Will Bring:
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience
Four to six years of communications technician experience required
Certification & Licensures
Medical Terminology Certification required
Qualifications
Completion of Communication Technician - Intermediate competencies required
Ability to attend at least one NAEO or AMTELCO conference bi-annually required
Ability to successfully complete NAEO hardware and software equipment test required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
Ability to complete annual Emergency/Clinical Code Training for all Valley Health facilities required
Ability to type 60-70 wpm required
