Valley Comprehensive Community Mental Health... is Hiring a V-ACT Team Lead Near Morgantown, WV

NATURE OF WORK: This position functions as an integral member of the Assertive Community Treatment Program. The Team Leader is responsible for daily program oversight of the assigned Assertive Community Treatment Team; works to serve severe and persistently mentally ill consumers within the teams catchment area; reviews the appropriateness of new referrals to the assigned ACT Program. The Team Leader will also review all assessments completed by V-ACT staff in order to ensure clinical accuracy and compliance. The Team Leader will assist program therapists in setting therapy treatment goals and objectives with the client; evaluates progress toward these goals; advocates on behalf of the client and provides crisis assistance/intervention. The Team Leader is expected to provide clinical services up to 50% of the time. The Team Leader will hold regularly scheduled supervision sessions for all staff members as well as group supervision sessions at regular intervals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Oversight of Assertive Community Treatment Team that includes assessing referrals, making placements and monitoring needs/changes for consumers.
  • Duties include recruitment, hiring, training, evaluation, scheduling and monitoring of employees within the assigned ACT Program.
  • Maintain the physical resources of programs (i.e.: ordering supplies, controlling inventories, reporting losses and damages.)
  • Maintain and assist in the develop procedures for provision of services within the ACT program.
  • Monitors Direct Client Service Time of assigned ACT Program staff to ensure compliance with Valley guidelines.
  • Oversight of all compliance issues including development of competency and outcome measures for employees.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled individual and group supervision sessions for all assigned ACT team members.
  • Assist in the development of, monitoring, and maintaining the Programs annual fiscal budget.
  • Participate in treatment plan meetings, staffing, and clinical meetings as needed.
  • Serve on committees as assigned.
  • Adheres to professional code of ethics and Valleys Standards of Conduct in performing and overseeing services.
  • Adheres to timely and accurate documentation standards.
  • Maintain all agency and/or professional training requirements (Mandt, CPR/First Aid, CEU, etc.).
  • Assist in developing training modules and mentoring of staff.
  • Assist in reviewing referrals and iniating intake process.
  • Continue to develop professionally by maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, adhering to professional standards, reviewing professional publications and establishing professional networks.
  • Manages schedule, staffing and service delivery to client caseload so as to efficiently maximize client access to services.
  • Assess clients needs; Plan and set therapy treatment goals and objectives with the client; Evaluate progress toward these goals
  • Assess potential clients to determine appropriateness for the program.
  • Review of all assessments and re-assessments for program clients to ensure clinical accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure ACTion plans and reviews remain current for the assigned caseload as well as all program clients.
  • Formulates and initiates ACTion plan(s) to address goals of clients; Evaluates progress towards treatment objective(s) and revises ACTion plan(s) as needed.
  • Conducts individual, group and family therapy sessions as needed
  • Communicates clearly and effectively with clients and other professionals.
  • Link clients with necessary resources and services within the community to address client needs.
  • Adheres to Direct Client Service Time standards.
  • Provide crisis services and intervention and/or assistance as necessary.
  • Transport clients as need dictates.
  • OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to perform Essential Duties as outlined below
  • Masters Degree in Counseling, Social Work or Psychology
  • Currently holds a valid Professional License as LCSW, LICSW, LPC or Supervised/Licensed Psychologist
  • Three years experience working with individuals who have severe and persistent mental illness/ substance use disorder
  • Two years of documented Clinical Supervisory experience
  • Ability to comply with Clients Rights
  • Ability to comply with all of Valleys Policies and Procedures
  • Ability to comply with Valleys and Division departmental safety procedures
  • Ability to read, write and speak the English language
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working with Assertive Community Treatment Teams
  • Previous experience managing an Assertive Community Treatment Team
