Valdes is actively seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Construction Engineer to work on roadway and bridge construction projects in the Chicago, IL area.

Responsibilities

• Provides the opportunity to support CEI efforts for exciting, challenging, and high-profile transportation projects for IDOT, Illinois Tollway, counties, and other local Municipalities.
• Provides training, guidance, and development of skills needed to lead major projects as a Resident Engineer in the future.
• Under direct supervision, performs routine duties requiring knowledge of basic engineering principles.

• Performs specific and limited portions of broader assignments.
• Spends a large percentage of time performing estimating take-offs and performing walk-downs for quantity tracking purposes, reporting installed quantities, and performing field inspections to verify adherence to design.

• REQUIREMENTS
• 2 years of experience working as a Civil Engineer
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future

• PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Illinois Tollway Experience
• IDOT experience
• IDOT Documentation Certification for Contract Quantities
• Transit and Railway Experience (Optional)
