Networking Experience:

• 7-10 years of experience preferred
• Proficiency in Palo Alto Networks
• Preferred Network Troubleshooting experience
• Desire for Networking experience
• General familiarity with Cyber
• Proven knowledge of Palo Alto Firewall
• Experience with F5 Networks
• Proficiency in Network Security Monitoring
• Knowledge of Network Monitoring Tools

Basics:

• Ensure secure data transfer across internal and external networks
• Employ traditional and innovative methods to engineer enterprise data, voice, and video networks
• Collaborate with vendors, clients, carriers, and technical staff on network implementation and management
• Set up and manage network test facilities
• Provide expert support in networking technology including hubs, bridges, hardware, and routers
• Familiarity with network design and implementation strategies

Responsibility Must-Haves:

• Manage projects, liaising with internal and external stakeholders
• Develop and adhere to approved project plans, budgets, and schedules
• Conduct hands-on POP/cabinet and data center upgrades or replacements of network systems
• Troubleshoot networks at OSI levels 1-7
• Manage BGP and associated hardware
• Configure switches, routers, and firewalls via command-line interface
• Assist in designing edge network systems and processes
• Contribute to the design and maintenance of the companys core network
• Provide Tier 3 NOC support for edge technicians
• Possess Carrier Grade and/or ISP experience
• Proficiency with MPLS, L2VPNs, and L3VPNs
• Experience with OSPF, BGP, and QoS
