Role / Title
The Production Supervisor is amember of the plant leadership team and plays a key role inproviding management and leadership to deliver business results andoperational improvements.
Under direction of the Business UnitManager the Production Supervisor is responsible for the daytodaymanufacturing operations for an assigned area and shift.
Primary Responsibilities
This role has responsibility to achieve productivityefficiency customer service cost quality safety and employeeengagement objectives through both individual and teamcontributions.
Provides direction leadership development andsupport to direct reports through empowerment teamwork onthejobassignments and continuous improvement projects and initiatives.
Develops implements and promotes safety programs and safe workpractices through involvement in plant safety teams programs andinitiatives.
Promotes sound employee & labor relations withinthe department by developing and maintaining an effectiveorganization with qualified personnel.
Develops promotes andsupports continuous improvement and other crossfunctionalinitiatives.
Qualifications
BA / BSDegree in Business Food Science Engineering or related field ispreferred
2 years of experience in supervisorrole
15 years of experience in a manufacturingenvironment is required
Ability to lead motivate andmentor large teams of hourly associates is required
Stronganalytical / critical thinking
Strong accountabilityconsistency and followthrough skills
Ability to workeffectively with a wide array of plant personnel ranging fromhourly employees to senior management
