Uwharrie Bank is seeking an EXPERIENCEDBANK TELLER (CSR) in the CABARRUS COUNTY area, who is focused on providing exemplary customer service, and wants to be a part of a community bank team with longer-term growth opportunities!

This position's responsibilities include representing the bank in processing various types of transactions for customers, handling and balancing cash daily, answering customer inquiries pertaining to various services and making customer referrals to other lines of business. This position works alongside others to influence the overall efficiency and service level of the retail services area.

Knowledge: Requires a minimum high school graduate with proven knowledge and familiarity of financial services products and services. Higher education and/or banking courses are preferred. Marketing and sales knowledge is beneficial for making referrals.

Experience: A minimum of one to three years proven cash handling experience in a retail banking or financial services environment, is required. Experience using a teller cash recycler (TCR) is highly preferred, and experience using a personal computer for input and retrieval is required.

Skills: Requires proficiency with calculator and personal computer, proven math skills, well-developed human relations skills, ability to work in pressure situations under close supervision. General administrative and multi-tasking skills are required. Requires a pleasant disposition and genuine desire to provide customer service.

Scope of Decisions and Authority: This position works under specified cash drawer limits, bank check issuing limits, and has a restricted check cashing limit. Work is performed following established policies and procedures and is responsible for determining the financial responsibility of the customer when performing transactions.

ADA Requirements: Vision, hearing, speech, concentration, learning, thinking, interaction with others, the ability to exercise self-control, the ability to work under stressful conditions, particularly in customer relations are necessary. Must possess a valid NC Drivers’ License.
