Position Summary:

The Seafood Wrapper at Uwajimaya prioritizes excellent customer service by preparing, wrapping, and displaying the best-quality seafood in the Pacific Northwest.

Position’s Key Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor.

• Identify and uniformly wrap various seafood types with appropriate condiments.

• Set wrapping machine/label accurately for each seafood product.

• Weigh, wrap, and label products accurately, ensuring compliance with COOL.

• Display seafood attractively, replenishing based on product movement.

• Stock shelves and display cases strategically for maximum sales and minimal shrinkage.

• Monitor and maintain wrapping supplies to ensure adequate quantities.

• Ensure the overall cleanliness of the Seafood Department, including display cases and shelves.

• Ice down fresh seafood products regularly to preserve freshness.

• Follow HCAPP plan, processes, and health standards consistently.

• Stay informed about weekly ads, promotions, and upcoming events, while also knowing product locations and offering information, recipes, and cooking techniques.

• Other duties as assigned.

Starting at $20.25/hr., Depending on Experience.

Position Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Prior retail experience and knowledge of Asian products, preferred.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Basic math proficiency, familiarity with ten-key/calculator, and comfortable using computers.

• Flexible schedule to accommodate varying shifts.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and proactively work independently.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
