JOB TITLE: 

Cook, Senior – Chick-fil-A 

JOB PURPOSE:

Guide and assist kitchen staff in performance of operations; independently perform general and routine cooking tasks; function as shift supervisor, as directed. Chick-fil-A is looking for a senior cook, that is warm, welcoming, and delivers fresh food prepared to Chick-fil-A specifications to our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and hospitality, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and cook meat, vegetables, sauces, according to recipes and established procedures for food preparation by the Chick fil A; cook and oversee the cooking of specialty or catering items.
  • Supervise part time Chick fil A staff in kitchen production, opening and closing procedures.
  • Prepare food production reports; review daily menu forecast and adjust for day's production requirements; order food and supplies; taste test food for quality control.
  • Maintain cleanliness of freezers and storage areas; ensure storage, rotation, and document temperature readings daily. maintain portion controls.
  • Maintain established standards for sanitation and safety. Maintain state food safety standards.
  • Adheres to workplace safety standards for operating and maintaining equipment and reports any equipment malfunctions immediately.
  • Clean kitchen, kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas, as necessary.
  • Assist in forecasting and ordering food for the operation. 
  • Receive shipping deliveries for Chick fil A, put stock away in an organized manner.
  • Train new staff to prepare and serve menu items to Chick fil A specifications.

SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Scheduling kitchen staff; provide direction and guidance in daily operations.
  • Assist in maintaining equipment.
  • Maintain currency in the field by attending workshops or reading associated journals.

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY: This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: 2 years work-related experience

Required licensure, certification, registration or other requirements: None

This position requires repetitive lifting of 20 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds and standing up to 8 hours.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

  •  Large Scale Food Preparation with Chick-fil-A standards
  • Supervision Experience 
  • Good Communication
