Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Oncology team. As a Registered Nurse in the Oncology department, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized care to patients undergoing cancer treatment. Duties:
- Administer medications, including chemotherapy drugs, and monitor patients for any adverse reactions
- Perform cardiac catheterization procedures as required
- Conduct phlebotomy procedures to obtain blood samples for testing
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans, side effects, and self-care measures
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Monitor patients' progress, document observations, and update medical records
- Assist with ambulatory surgery center procedures related to oncology care
- Administer botulinum toxin treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Provide occupational health services to patients as needed
- Educate patients on proper inhalation techniques for respiratory medications
- Assist with medication administration and management for patients in assisted living facilities
- Perform dermal filler injections under the supervision of a physician
Skills:
- Valid RN license in [state]
- Minimum [X] years of experience in oncology nursing preferred
- Experience working with pediatric oncology patients is a plus
- Proficient in cardiac catheterization procedures and phlebotomy techniques
- Knowledge of ambulatory surgery center protocols and practices
