The Field Supervisor reports directly to the Operations Center Manager. In this role, the ideal candidate will manage the workflow of their employees, creating team schedules and delegating tasks.

He / She will assess the work performance of their employees and identify areas that need improvement. The Field Supervisor will also ensure that business goals, deadlines and performance standards are met while setting goals for the technicians in compliance with our company’s mission and plan.

The Day-to-Day Builds and supervises a team of Damage Prevention Technicians who are driven and understand the key performance indicators and economic engines of the business.

Conduct audits on field personnel to ensure quality standards are being met. Conducts performance reviews and provides regular performance feedback and development opportunities for technicians Create and maintain good working relationships with clients, excavators, regulators, employees, and the public Assist Center Manager in identifying strengths and weaknesses of Damage Prevention Technicians.

Assist Technicians with locating difficult to find utilities. Collaborate with the HR and Talent Acquisition Team to identify staffing needs, interview and make final hiring decisions.

Operate company vehicles in a safe manner and maintain a professional appearance Validates and approves daily personnel time reports Develops, mentors and evaluates technicians and has the overall responsibility for employee engagement and morale.

Complete JSO’s (Job Safety Observations) of technicians Ticket production and weekend work required, as needed. Completes other duties, as needed Qualifications What do you need High School Diploma, GED equivalent, relevant work experience, or a combination of education and work experience preferred One (1) or more years of experience in leadership or related experience is preferred.

Six (6) or more months of utility locating experience required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Google Suite and Gmail with the ability to learn new systems and software related to the role.

Apply critical thinking skills to understand problems, analyze facts and anticipate results to make decisions based on available information and meet deadlines.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals at all levels and areas within the organization Ability to be flexible and adaptive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment Proficient in the use of hand tools and equipment.
