Utah Surgical is Hiring a Medical Assistant - Full Time Near Cedar, UT
Hours:
- Monday - Thursday: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
- Friday: Closed
Prerequisites:
- Phone and in-person etiquette
- Positive personality
- Well organized
- Ability to make proactive autonomous decisions
- Ability to adapt, multi-task and support co-workers to ensure a cohesive patient experience
- Experience utilizing various software (ex: Excel, Word, Electronic Medical Records, etc)
Job Duties (include but not limited to):
- Organize patient results
- Answer and return calls to patients with prescription, procedure, or medical questions in a timely manner
- Promptly and professionally call patients back from the waiting room to take vitals, follow up on his/her health history, and help them get prepared to see the doctor
- Sanitize and stock exam rooms
- Assist doctors with in-office procedures (preparation and clean up)
- Transcribe doctor's notes in the exam room while the doctor examines
- Sterilize and organize medical instruments
Preferences (preferred but not required):
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Previous experience working in a medical practice, especially as a medical assistant
