Utah State University is Hiring a Postdoctoral Research Assistant Near Logan, UT

Overview

The postdoctoral researcher will work with Dr. Becker and the USAID funded Egypt Center of Excellence for Water. The postdoctoral research assistant will be responsible to collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data, and develop publications. He or she will be expected to work closely with Egyptian and domestic partners to development graduate course materials and assist with writing a proposal for funding to the National Science Foundation.

Responsibilities

  • Data Collection – Collect data concerning graduate course development and industry needs. This will involve a mixed methods approach to quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Data Analysis – Analyze data concerning industry needs. This will involve a mixed methods approach to quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Publication – Publish results from ongoing research in the form of accepted professional JEE, IJEE, etc. journals and ASEE and FIE conference papers. This is anticipated to be 2 to 3 journal papers. Other journal papers may also arise.
  • Grant Writing – Investigate, conduct literature review, co-author, and submit a NSF or equivalent level proposal for a grant to continue engineering design thinking research as a member of Dr. Becker’s research team.
  • Leadership – Lead a team of researchers and graduate researchers in the collection, analysis, and co-authorship of journal and conference papers.
  • Qualifications

  • Must have the ability to conduct quantitative and qualitative research.
