Position: Pharmacy Manager, Monument Valley Pharmacy. Full-Time/Benefited

As the Pharmacy Manager of Monument Valley Pharmacy you will have the opportunity to work with experienced technicians and pharmacists and alongside qualified medical professionals as you serve members of a wonderful Navajo community. Some of your primary responsibilities will include:

Reports to:

1. UNHS Pharmacy Director
2. Assistant Pharmacy Director

Supervises:

1. Dispensing Pharmacists working at this location
2. Technicians working at that site
3. Technicians in training
4. Clerks

Requirements

1. Pharmacy function and medication processing. 
2. Supervisory and training duties.
3. Compliance to pharmacy law, company policies/procedures, and accrediting body standards.
4. Customer service, patient education and pharmacy communication.
5. Tasks and assignments as requested.

Experience, Training, and Qualifications needed to perform the job: 

• Must have graduated from a credentialed pharmacy school with a Pharm.D. or BS in Pharmacy.

License/Certification: (State the Licensing, Certification or Specialized Expertise required for the job by the Joint Commission, State of Utah or the UNHS organization.)

• Utah Pharmacist license with the ability to dispense controlled substances required.
• Must obtain/maintain BLS certification

As a Tribal Organization the Utah Navajo Health System, Inc. (UNHS) treats patients with high risk and underlying chronic medical conditions. Therefore, UNHS requires its employees to show proof of immunization prior to their employment with UNHS or during their employment. Below is a list of immunizations/vaccinations required to be employed or to continue employment with UNHS.
The immunizations/vaccinations include but not limited to following:

• MMR (Measles Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella): Documentation of two MMR vaccines (OR) Documentation of MMR titers.
• Complete Hepatitis B vaccine series (3 doses), documented proof of titers indicating immunity, or a declination that may be signed upon arrival.
• Proof of up-to-date PPD skin testing, if previously negative (OR) Proof of positive PPD skin test with the most recent chest x-ray and treatment history.
• Tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (Tdap).
• Varicella titers, history of varicella or varicella immunization series.
• Influenza vaccine for the current year.
• COVID-19 vaccine
• Any other vaccinations as requested.
