UT Southwestern Medical Center is Hiring a Visiting Professor Near Dallas, TX

This is a visiting faculty position within the Division of Medical Physics and Engineering. Appointment will be at the rank of VisitingProfessor. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in medical physics or a related field. They will work on projects including AI-driven image reconstruction, image registration and image segmentation. The candidate will apply machine learning and deep learning techniques to solve challenges in today's image-guided radiation therapy, including real-time low-contrast liver tumor localization, automatic structure segmentation for on-line adaptive radiotherapy, and real-time MRI motion estimation and reconstruction.
UT Southwestern is a leading institution conducting academic research. With six Nobel Laureates and 25 members of the National Academy of Sciences currently on faculty, UTSW is among the top five biomedical research institutions in the nation. The Department of Radiation Oncology is a leader in the development and clinical implementation of innovative treatment strategies. The department currently has a total of 22 MD and MD/Ph.D. physicians and 14 medical residents.
