Works under close supervision to perform semi-skilled level operation and maintenance of equipment and machinery in central plant environment.
Work Location: Plant Operations, Dallas Campus
Work Schedule: 12-hour shifts for 3 days plus 4-hour shift for total of 40 work week; on-call required.
Skills Preferred: Candidates with previous experience as a Power Plant Operator in a Thermal Energy Plant. Prefer education in power plant technology and bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering; active CFC and/or EIT certification. Experience in electrical, plumbing, controls, and welding.
Skills Required: Knowledge in boiler operations and steam systems; knowledge in chiller operations, HVAC, and refrigeration; knowledge in cooling tower and pump operations and other industrial rotating equipment; water treatment; building automation systems and computer literacy.
