JOB SUMMARY:
Under physician supervision, the perfusionist will be responsible for extracorporeal cardiopulmonary support, provide ancillary duties during various cardiothoracic and transplant procedures for our pediatric and adult patient population.
The clinician will be responsible in utilizing a range of equipment designed for cardiopulmonary support, autologous cell salvage, rapid blood volume resuscitation, and as well as equipment for oncological procedures (i.e., Hipec).
This is an academic institution that supports professional development through continuing education, seminars, and academic partnerships with other institutions.
EDUCATION:
Graduate of an ABCP accredited School of Perfusion with a bachelor’s degree in a recognized field of science or learning directly related to the duties of the position is required.
EXPERIENCE:
None. New graduates welcomed. Pediatric interest/experience is beneficial.
